Matt Timm

Co-Founder and Physical Therapist

With nearly 20 years of experience, Matt specializes in clinical diagnostic skills and individualized treatment programs for each individual. He teams up with his patients to guide them through rehab and help them navigate the sometimes-frustrating medical system, especially if they need additional medical treatment.

Matt dedicates over 100 hours/year to continuing education and professional development. He has worked since 2012 as a P.T. consultant for a medical device company teaching physicians and other physical therapists lower back and S.I. joint clinical diagnostic skills. He even created and teaches a continuing education course for physical therapists.

Matt specializes in:

  • Manual, hands-on therapy
  • Diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic injuries (i.e. joint, muscle, tendon, and ligament)
  • Lower back and neck pain relief
  • Posture assessment and training
  • Natural movement analysis and restoration

Matt ruptured his Achilles tendon playing indoor soccer in January of 2019. Surgery and rehab gave him a greater appreciation of the struggles and patience required after an injury and going through rehab.

Get to Know Matt:

Matt was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska – and yes, he is a big Huskers fan! When it was time for college, he moved to Kansas City and attended college at Rockhurst for both undergrad and physical therapy school.

He chose Rockhurst because they had a soccer program and a P.T. program. He’s adopted Sporting K.C., Chiefs and Royals to cheer for and occasionally attend a game.

His wife (Katie) and 3 boys (Miles, Graham, and Camden) love to travel and explore the outdoors. Last summer, they rented an R.V. and traveled to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons – they loved it so much they are planning several more R.V. trips.

Another favorite is visiting his in-laws in Salida, CO, and taking day trips to explore CO. He loves to hear suggestions for great outdoor places to explore – locally and across the country.

Outside of work, he is busy keeping up with his boys. The oldest, Miles, is a self-taught D.J. working mostly school activities and 5k’s/marathons since he was in 3rd grade. Graham and Camden are busy with various sporting events.
